Our Achievements
Centraler Toastmasters Club was chartered in June 1999 with a clear vision - to provide a professional, supportive and full-of-fun learning environment for members to improve themselves. The vision sets a direction for the development of the Club, and has proven to be extremely effective in terms of running quality meetings and activities that are appealing to members and guests, recruiting members and meeting members' needs.

The same vision is shared by Kowloon Toastmasters Club founded in 2000, the first community English speaking Toastmasters Club in Kowloon, the setting up of which was sponsored by Centraler Toastmasters Club.

Indeed, Centraler Toastmasters Club has set records on many fronts.

In 2009/10, the Club also sponsored the setting up of two new Toastmasters Club in Hong Kong -- the Hong Kong MBA Toastmasters Club and the HKUST MBA Alumni Toastmasters Club.

Centraler Toastmasters was the first Toastmasters club in Hong Kong:
to expand from a membership of 45 to over 110 in the first year.
to win the President's Distinguished Club award in the first year of its formation.
to sponsor a new Toastmasters club in the first year of its formation - Kowloon Toastmasters Club.


Distinguished Club Program

The Distinguished Club Program is an annual program of Toastmasters International, running from July 1 through June 30. The program consists of 10 goals that every Toastmaster club should strive to achieve during this time period. World Headquarters tracks the progress of each club toward these goals throughout the year (monthly reports are available on the TI web site). At year-end, World Headquarters calculates the number of goals the club achieved and recognizes it as a Distinguished Club, Select Distinguished Club, or President’s Distinguished Club based on the number of goals achieved and the number of members it has.
